HOW DO I GET STARTED IN YOUR COURSE?

While the education in this course is invaluable to a beginner (I wish I could have taken it when I was first starting! It would have saved me years of mistakes), you do need a basic knowledge of how your camera operates as I do not cover that specifically here.

I AM BRAND NEW TO PHOTOGRAPHY, IS THIS COURSE A GOOD FIT FOR ME?

Currently there are 6 hours and 45 minutes of video, as well as text (I have different learning styles covered!) I give assignments that, while optional, I highly recommend to get the most out of the course material.

HOW MUCH TIME IS REQUIRED?

The curriculum builds on itself and while you will see maximum results after completing the entirety of the course (and taking your time to complete each module thoroughly), you will begin to see your work in a whole new light from the beginning. This will serve you greatly for the rest of your career and even your life (yes, that is a bold claim and I stand by it!). As you complete each module, you will gain new skills that will elevate your work.

HOW FAST CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?

While editing is important and I do teach it using these two amazing programs, it is only one out of the five key steps. If you implement what I teach in the other modules and don’t even TOUCH editing, your images will be better. That being said, the edits do “bring it home” and I would love for you to utilize that step. I have had students complete the course and use other editing programs such as ACR, and have had great results.

I DON’T USE LIGHTROOM/PHOTOSHOP. WILL THIS COURSE WORK FOR ME?

This course helps anyone who does photography by training your eye and helping you to make truly better visual choices. I would confidently say that this course can help you, yes! That being said, I do recommend it to family and portrait photographers especially because they have full control of location choices.

I’m a wedding photographer. Will this course still work for me?

YES! (Excuse me while I grab that box of tissues)... the student community is made up of the most wonderful people! It is a judgement-free place of support, with fellow students who are working on modules just like you. I am very active in the group and give regular feedback. (Psst... I often give extra education and examples in the course!). I believe the people who get the most out of this course utilize the student community for feedback and problem-solving.

I don’t! I believe in teaching from your strengths, and mine is the actual craft itself. I’m an open book with what I do in my business and am always happy to share, but I defer to experts who specialize in both marketing and business.

One of the things which I am the most proud to offer, that is unique and different from any other course I’ve seen, is that I teach not only the how, but the WHY behind everything. I teach you how the human eye works, and why we need to do the things we do. I teach you how to train YOUR eye, and why that is so vital. I incorporate actual numbers and even science (it’s “fun” science, I promise!). I am a completely open book, hold nothing back, and offer support through our student community.
